VRCID operational during festive season
The Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District (VRCID), which had cameras installed targetting the hotspot areas in Bellville and Parow CBD areas earlier this year, aims to roll out even more cameras in the new year.
67 Cameras for CBD
The Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District (VRCID) partnered with Securitas South Africa to launch 53 CCTV and 14 License Plate Recognition (LRP) cameras at the new security operations centre on Wednesday, 18 July.
Eye in the sky to watch criminals
Criminals operating in the Bellville and Parow CBDs will now have a literal eye in the sky watching them. The Voortrekker Road Corridor Improvement District (VRCID), along with Securitas South Africa, have built a CCTV and Licence Plate Recognition (LRP) security operations centre which will cover most of the Bellville and Parow CBD areas.
