Swift VRCID response leads to murder arrest in Bellville

A murder suspect was successfully apprehended shortly after a fatal shooting in Bellville on Friday 1 May, following a swift response and coordinated teamwork by VRCID Public Safety Officers.

According to VRCID Contract Manager André Geslin, officers were dispatched to Belrail Road at 20:03 after reports of a shooting. Public safety officers Bernito Pieterse and Luvyo Mrwetyana, operating under the supervision of shitt manager Marius Farao, responded immediately to the scene, where they discovered the body of an unidentified male believed to be approximately 40 years old.
