The VRCID Homeless Soccer League recently hosted an exciting tournament that brought together shelters and organizations from the local community for a day of spirited competition. This remarkable event saw teams from MES, U-Turn, VRCID PEP team, Bellville Haven, Sultan Bahu, Elim Night Shelter, Kraaifontein Haven and the Securitas Cleaning Team competing fiercely for glory. In the end, the tournament crowned its champions, with the Sultan Bahu Team emerging victorious in both the men’s and women’s finals, and U-Turn securing the runner-up spot.
The VRCID Homeless Soccer League Tournament is a shining example of how sports can unite communities and foster a sense of camaraderie among diverse groups. It’s an occasion where participants not only showcase their skills on the soccer field, but also come together to celebrate the spirit of togetherness.
