SAFER FESTIVE SEASON OPERATIONS UNDERWAY AT BELLVILLE TAXI INTERCHANGE
#SaferFestiveSeason stop-and-search operations are currently underway at the Bellville taxi interchange as part of intensified festive season crime-prevention efforts across the City of Cape Town.
The joint operation is headed by Western Cape Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General (Advocate) Thembisile Patekile and includes multiple law-enforcement and safety partners. During the operation, more than five suspects were arrested for possession of dangerous weapons.
Authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing stop-and-search initiatives throughout the festive season to ensure safer transport hubs, commuters and road users across the province.
