A DAY OF TALENT, HOPE, AND RESILIENCE

In celebration of World Homeless Day, the VRCID hosted a talent show at the Parow Civic Centre, showcasing the hidden talents of individuals from local shelters. With over 200 attendees, the event featured powerful performances in music, dance, and poetry, proving that creativity thrives everywhere.

Eight winners received prizes, with the top contestant taking home R1000. A touching moment unfolded when former clients, Brandon Brand and Liezel Swartz, got engaged during the event, highlighting the transformative power of community support.

The event, judged by industry experts Alfonza Solomon, Joseph Mitchell, and Freddy Adriaanse, was a reminder that talent, joy, and resilience shine even in the face of hardship.
